Photo: AEW’s Ricky Starks Confirms He’s ‘Ready To Wrestle’
AEW’s Ricky Starks has been absent from the promotion for a while, sparking speculation about his health or contract status. Addressing concerns on social media, Starks reassured fans about his physical condition with a message alongside a gym photo.
“Hard work and nothing less,” Starks captioned the photo. “Ready to wrestle because that’s what I was meant to do. That and be #Absolute.”
Starks last competed for AEW in March, teaming with Big Bill in a match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter-Finals against Top Flight. Since then, he wrestled a match against QT Marshall on the independent circuit but has otherwise been out of sight. Reports on Starks have been conflicting, complicating efforts to track his status and whereabouts.
Starks’s declaration of readiness coincides with AEW’s upcoming “AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam” in New York City, where TNT Champion Jack Perry is set to defend his title in an open challenge, a highlight event known for surprises. Starks hinted about the challenge on social media, playfully suggesting he hopes former ROH World Champion Homicide answers it.
