WWE Star Trick Williams Discusses NXT’s Move to The CW
Tonight’s episode of “WWE NXT” marks its final airing on USA Network before transitioning to The CW next Tuesday, live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Last month, CM Punk was announced to appear on the show, and recently, he was confirmed as the special guest referee for the NXT Championship match featuring Trick Williams and Ethan Page.
Ahead of his title opportunity, Williams shared his thoughts on “NXT” moving to The CW during an interview on “Busted Open Radio.” He emphasized the significance of the brand joining The CW’s lineup and expressed his excitement about reaching a broader audience through one of the most accessible TV networks.
“I think it’s a game-changer. The CW is on every TV screen in people’s living rooms. My mom’s been tuning in to The CW for years, watching all those reality dramas and more. It’s awesome to know that now everyone with basic cable can catch us … The CW is really stepping up their game, bringing NASCAR, ACC football, ACC basketball, and now the best two-hour show, NXT, to their network.”
