Prince Nana, the manager of Swerve Strickland, has outlined a clear path for his client’s future in AEW, with a singular focus on one major goal: the AEW World Championship. In a recent interview with K&S WrestleFest, Nana made it clear that Strickland’s sights are set firmly at the top, dismissing any other titles as secondary. “There’s no other plans, my friend,” Nana stated. He emphasized that Strickland is dedicated to staying in top physical condition, regularly working out, eating right, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which includes visits to the chiropractor and ensuring proper rest.
Nana went on to highlight that they now have the luxury of being selective about Strickland’s opponents, only facing those they deem worthy of sharing the ring with him. Before Strickland can make his move toward his second AEW World Championship, Nana noted that the duo must first “lay down the law” in AEW. This begins with addressing the tension between Strickland and Ricochet, who has become a focal point of Strickland’s current storylines.
Strickland and Ricochet’s rivalry has reached new heights, with recent backstage encounters and direct confrontations escalating the drama. At AEW Worlds End, Strickland and Nana mocked Ricochet following his loss in the Continental Classic semifinals, even rallying the crowd to throw toilet paper at Ricochet. Ricochet, however, responded violently on AEW Dynamite, stabbing Strickland in the head with scissors, pushing their feud to a more personal level.
In addition to Ricochet, Nana teased that Strickland has unfinished business with The Hurt Syndicate, suggesting that more clashes lie ahead. Strickland’s ambitions for the AEW World Championship remain his ultimate focus, but with the path to the title involving high-profile rivalries and intense feuds, it’s clear that the journey won’t be an easy one.
