Freddie Prinze Jr. Predicts Long-Absent WWE Star Will Return Soon
Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. has shared an exciting prediction regarding the possible return of a long-absent WWE star to television.
During an episode of his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Prinze Jr. weighed in on the rising tension between New Day members Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. With cracks forming in one of WWE’s most beloved factions, he speculated that this storyline could pave the way for a major return.
“I’m thinking this story is bringing back Big E. I don’t know if it’s as a wrestler, but I think he’s gonna be on television really soon. And he’s gonna help these young men — well, they’re not young anymore — help these men see the error of their ways and pull them back together again,” said Prinze Jr.
He hinted that the ongoing drama could lead to something fans never anticipated — the potential breakup of the New Day. The internal friction between Woods and Kingston, according to Prinze Jr., has created an emotionally charged narrative that could see Big E reenter the fold, even if just in a non-wrestling capacity for now.
“I never thought you’d see the day where the New Day might break up, or potentially break up. But there’s trouble in the air. This is like nighttime soap opera stuff for men, y’all. This is heavy f****n drama,” he added.
Big E, sidelined with a neck injury since 2022, recently provided a hopeful update on his recovery, fueling speculation about his return to WWE programming.
