Former Resltingnews WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre has shared some warm insights into his relationship with Hollywood star Dave Bautista, known as Batista in WWE.

While McIntyre has been busy tormenting CM Punk and filming the movie The Killer’s Game—which features Bautista—he took to Reddit for an AMA session to promote the film. During the discussion, a user asked McIntyre if Bautista is as kind and caring as he seems in interviews. McIntyre agreed, and elaborated on how Bautista supported him early in his career.

“He is! Like me, he’s naturally introverted—many wrestlers are. When I first met him, I thought he didn’t like me because he was so quiet. But then he started mentoring me when I was young, and he really kept an eye on me, showing me how to navigate WWE. Now, he’s doing the same as I venture into this new world. All-around great guy,” McIntyre said.
