Rob Van Dam Teases Return to WWE NXT, Says He Has “Unfinished Business” with Wes Lee

RVD, who has made several recent appearances on WWE programming, including his cameo on the October 29 episode of NXT, shared his excitement about the warm reception he received from the locker room and teased a possible return to the brand.

On a recent episode of his “1 Of A Kind with RVD” podcast, Van Dam spoke highly of his time in NXT, noting that he felt incredibly welcomed by everyone backstage. The veteran star also revealed that he has unfinished business with Wes Lee, which could potentially lead to another NXT appearance.

“It felt really welcoming. Everybody from top to bottom was super cool, and everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome,” RVD explained. “If and when I want to come back, which I got some unsettled business now with Wes and his punk a*s. They all seemed legit. It was really cool, everybody was happy. They all grew up watching my generation of wrestlers, so they are really stoked to have us there working with them. They value our perspective, so it’s really cool.”

RVD’s NXT Appearance and Future Plans

During his NXT appearance, RVD was attacked by Wes Lee backstage, which led to the Hall of Famer interfering in Lee’s match with Je’Von Evans. RVD helped Evans score the victory, adding fuel to the ongoing tension between him and Lee. Despite not competing on the show, Van Dam made it clear that he plans to return to NXT in the future, hinting at the possibility of a final match.

“I will be back. I will be back, so there’s that,” Van Dam promised on his podcast.

After his appearance on the ECW-themed edition of NXT, Van Dam expressed his disappointment at not being able to compete but assured fans that he would return to WWE in some capacity.
