Backstage Update On WWE Star Jade Cargill’s Injury Status
Jade Cargill’s Injury Status: WWE Star’s Recovery Timeline and Impact on Current Storylines
WWE fans will have to wait a while before seeing Jade Cargill back in action. The Women’s Tag Team Champion was attacked backstage on the November 22 edition of “WWE SmackDown,” with WWE announcing that she sustained multiple injuries during the assault. However, sources confirm that Cargill has suffered a legitimate injury that will keep her sidelined for an extended period.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update on her recovery timeline and shared insights into why WWE has been tight-lipped about the specifics of her injury. Meltzer stated, “I was told three months minimum,” referring to her expected recovery time. He also revealed that the nature of the injury has been kept under wraps, with even those close to Cargill unaware of the exact details. “I’ve heard from several people in the company, and they say not only do they not know what the injury is, but even people very close to her don’t know,” Meltzer added.
While WWE has not disclosed the exact injury, both Meltzer and co-host Bryan Alvarez suspect that Cargill may have suffered a torn meniscus. This type of injury typically requires around three months for recovery, which fits the timeline provided by WWE following the backstage attack.
With Cargill out of action, several WWE storylines have been altered. Bayley has replaced Cargill in the Survivor Series WarGames match, while Lash Legend has been named as her substitute in the Women’s United States Championship tournament. Additionally, Meltzer predicts that it may only be a matter of time before both Cargill and Bianca Belair are stripped of their Women’s Tag Team Championship.
