WWE Star Sheamus Discusses Opponents Asking Him Not To Hit So Hard

WWE star Sheamus, widely known for his physical and intense wrestling style, recently discussed his reputation and how it impacts his opponents during an appearance on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet.” While Sheamus thrives on delivering hard-hitting matches, he admitted that not all of his opponents share his enthusiasm for physicality.

Complaints About Physicality

When asked about the reactions he receives for his brutal style, Sheamus acknowledged that some wrestlers have expressed concerns.

“I think most in the beginning are taken aback, kind of deer-in-the-headlights stuff. But if you ask them afterward, [they say] that was brilliant,” Sheamus explained.

He stressed that while his matches are intense, he prioritizes safety, ensuring that his physicality doesn’t cross the line into recklessness.

“I’m not dropping them on their head, not breaking their nose,” he added.

A Rare Misstep

Despite his efforts to maintain safety in the ring, Sheamus recalled one instance where his physicality caused unintended damage.

“I did kick out Jeff Hardy’s tooth once. That’s probably the most damage I’ve done to someone,” he admitted.

However, Sheamus emphasized that this incident was an exception and noted that none of his opponents have ever been sidelined due to his style.

The Thrill of Facing Sheamus

While some initially hesitate to embrace Sheamus’ hard-hitting matches, he believes most opponents eventually enjoy the adrenaline rush.

“They’ll come back [saying], ‘That was awesome. That was great.’ And you’ll see just kind of adrenaline going in their face,” Sheamus said, describing how his matches often leave a lasting impression.
