Matt & Jeff Hardy Reflect on Engaging with Generations of Fans
The Hardy Boyz launched their wrestling careers back in 1993, when both Matt and Jeff were teenagers, practicing moves in backyard wrestling before taking them to major arenas. Over the years, the Hardys have built a devoted fanbase, often meeting those who grew up watching them. During an appearance on “Busted Open Radio,” Matt Hardy shared that he and Jeff have become generational talents, recounting how fathers often approach them with their kids, reminiscing about watching The Hardy Boyz when they were younger.
“People just want to talk sometimes, and share their stories — whatever they may be — about how it impacted their life or shaped them in some way, and we enjoy listening to them,” Matt said.
Matt highlighted that he and Jeff love seeing fans with Hardy Boyz tattoos, which they consider the highest compliment. He emphasized the deep bond they’ve developed with their supporters. Jeff chimed in, expressing his pride in Matt’s patience during fan meetups, which adds to the positive energy they feel when connecting with their fans.
Currently, the Hardy brothers are free agents, though they continue to compete in TNA. It remains uncertain whether they’ll sign with the promotion or wait for an offer from WWE, but their passion for wrestling and their fans has remained unwavering throughout the years.
