Veteran WWE Commentator Says Triple H Being In Charge Is The Most Fun He’s Ever Had

Veteran WWE commentator Michael Cole recently shared his thoughts on the significant changes in WWE since Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over creative control, noting how the atmosphere has shifted for the better both in front of and behind the camera. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Cole highlighted how the lighter schedule and fewer live events have contributed to a revitalized mood among both the talent and production crew.

According to Cole, Levesque’s approach to leadership has created an environment where talent has more freedom to be themselves, which he believes has made the product more enjoyable for both the performers and the audience. He mentioned how Levesque allows wrestlers like Seth Rollins to fully embrace and develop their characters. “Who knows characters better than the character? Seth Rollins knows his character better than anyone on the planet, so why not allow him to be able to bring that character forward?”

Cole emphasized that Triple H recognizes the talent in every aspect of WWE production, referring to the company as an “all-star team” that includes not only the wrestlers but also the announcers, camera and audio personnel, and props handlers. He praised Levesque for empowering everyone involved in the process and allowing them to put their full energy into creating the best possible television product.

Having been in the business for nearly three decades, Cole reflected on his experience, admitting that the past few years, working alongside McAfee and Levesque, have been the most enjoyable of his career. “I’ve seen everything in this business, and I have never had as much fun as I’ve had the last couple of years. Not only working with you, but working with Paul,” he said.

This insight into Triple H’s leadership style underscores a noticeable shift in WWE’s atmosphere, both creatively and professionally, contributing to an overall positive experience for those involved.
